Our 2 Day Fun Taster is the ideal first step into sailing for children aged 8–15. A qualified instructor sails in the boat with a small group of up to three juniors, teaching the basics through games, quizzes and hands-on activities. Confident children can have a go at crewing the boat themselves, with the instructor right alongside in a powerboat.
It isn't a formal qualification course — it's two days of discovering whether your child loves sailing. Every child receives a participation certificate, and those who catch the bug can move straight on to our beginner sailing courses running throughout the summer.
Tasters run Thursday–Friday on 23–24 July and 6–7 August 2026, 9.30am–4pm each day. £155 for the two days. We provide the wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and all sailing kit — you bring swimwear, footwear that can get wet, a towel, a hat, sun cream and a packed lunch. Children must be confident in deep water but don't need to be strong swimmers. No club membership needed. Free parking for course families.
