Already sailing? Take the next step this summer. We run the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme at Draycote Water — an RYA Recognised Training Centre and RYA Club of the Year 2024 — with five-day courses starting every Monday of the summer holidays.
Stage 3 (£325, Stage 2 required) teaches sailing in any direction and in stronger winds — by the end, your child is a sailor rather than a beginner. Stage 4 (£325, Stage 3 required) is the move into double-handed boats: more power, a crew, and the techniques that come with both. Stages must be completed in order; certificates from any RYA training centre are recognised. If your child hasn't sailed for a while, we recommend a Refresher Day first — contact us and we'll advise.
Courses start Monday 20 July, 27 July, 3 August and 10 August 2026, running Monday to Friday, 9.30am–4pm. We provide the wetsuit, buoyancy aid, helmet and RYA certificate — you bring swimwear, footwear that can get wet, a towel, a hat, sun cream and a packed lunch. No club membership needed.
