ADLHS is a large history society (around 200 members) which promotes the study and research of historical themes, especially those within the local area.  The Society meets monthly with a wide variety of history talks from experienced speakers. Meetings are held at the Sixth Form Centre, St Benedict's High School, Kinwarton Road, Alcester, B49 6PX on the second Wednesday of each month commencing 8.00pm. Visitors are always welcome.

The Society has published many books and occasional papers over the years on the history of Alcester and the lower Arrow valley. In May and November each year the Society magazine "Local Past" is published (£2) and is available at outlets throughout Alcester and Studley as well as at meetings.  Those currently on sale are detailed on the Society website.
