The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community - in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. We champion the freedom, dignity and well-being of individuals. We acknowledge and respect their rights to freedom of conscience and to develop their talents to the full. We aim to disperse power to foster diversity and to nurture creativity. We believe that the role of the state is to enable all citizens to attain these ideals, to contribute fully to their communities and to take part in the decisions which affect their lives.
Supporting
Some people do not become Members, but still give their support by a regular donation. They know we aren't subsidised by trade unions and big business - one of the things our supporters value is our independence. So we need money from the grassroots.

Valuable Help
Become part of our delivery network and deliver a few leaflets from time to time. We would agree the area you covered, which would be as large or as small, as close or as far away from home, as suited you. Put up posters and stake-boards in your area at Election times. Help with clerical work - labelling, folding leaflets, filling envelopes etc.
