Stratford Upon Avon Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers

The Stratford-upon-Avon guild is one of over a hundred weaving, spinning and dyeing groups affiliated to the national Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers (AGWSD). The Association's objectives are the preservation and improvement of craftsmanship in hand weaving, spinning and dyeing. (Registered Charity No. 289590)

Our members come from a wide area across Warwickshire and beyond, including Rugby, Birmingham, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Knowle, Banbury, Solihill and, of course, Stratford-upon-Avon. As well as our three core crafts, members possess a variety of allied skills and interests, from knitting and crochet to braid making and growing natural dye plants. We love to pass on our knowledge and, as a guild, we try to inspire each other to continually expand our skills and knowledge. You may see guild members out and about demonstrating at local events and venues.
