Tools with a Mission

We are a charity that collects unwanted usable tools, refurbishes them, sorts them into trade tool kits, and sends them via shipping container to countries in sub-Saharn Africa, providing communities the means to overcome poverty and create livelihoods for themselves. In doing so, we also support UK communities through volunteering opportunities, and contribute significantly to environmental sustainability by reducing waste and carbon emissions in the UK.

We have a refurbishment centre in the Paynes Lane Industrial Estate in Rugby, and are looking for volunteers looking for a hands-on role to help with packing, sorting, refurbishing, and cleaning donated tools. You could work in electrics, mechanics, carpentry, or haberdashery. We recently celebrated our 5000th refurbished sewing machine and our first 40-foot shipping container. Our network of volunteers speak of the meaning they find in our work, the power of our Christian-based mission, and the fun they have whilst volunteering with us!
