Our day activity services are provided at Abbey View Opportunities  which is a community based day service.  The service is located in the village of Polesworth.  The building is located in the heart of the community  close to the shops  library  Church  parks  pubs and bus routes.  Abbey View operates between 8.30am - 4.30pm Mon-Fri.  Requests for services during the evenings and weekends are welcome.  The service does not operate on bank holidays.  All facilities within Abbey View are at ground level and there is disabled access.  There is a spacious communal area  kitchen  dining room  several activity/meeting rooms  toilets  changing area and a shower room.  The building is furnished and maintained to a high standard and is equipped with lifting and handling equipment.  Our aim is to engage individuals in meaningful opportunities and our approach to activities is flexible and responsive to the needs of the people we support.  We offer a regular programme of fun and rewarding activities including Tiger Feet (dance sessions)  voluntary work  bowling  gym sessions  swimming  cookery  craft  drama and computer courses.  We also offer and arrange 'one off' activities such as day trips  coffee mornings and visits to places of interest.  The nature of this service means that registration with CQC is not required.  We do  however operate our own robust quality monitoring system and are able to demonstrate that we are achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.  If you would like to know more about our services at Abbey View please get in touch.
Abbey View is a single storey building with wheelchair access throughout.  There is an adapted bathroom/changing room and access to a hoist.  We have access to a vehicle adapted for use with a wheelchair.
