Supported Shopping Service

This is an enjoyable weekly  door to door  escorted shopping trip for carers  older people and disabled people who want to do their own shopping  but find it difficult to go shopping on their own.  You may choose to have our friendly volunteer escort remain with you whilst you shop  help with your bags to and from the minibus and to your home. Alternatively  you can simply take advantage of our reliable door to door transport service  the choice is yours.  We have a fully accessible minibus that has plenty of room for shopping bags. You are welcome to bring your shopping bags but mobility scooters are not allowed.  Our volunteer escort will call at your home and assist you onto the minibus  if you require it.  The bus is driven by a qualified volunteer driver. We go to Nuneaton Town Centre and Asda  Nuneaton.  After shopping you could visit the café for a cuppa and a chat.
We have 2 easily accessible minibuses  a 16 and an 8 seater but it is the 16 seater which is used for this service.  There is a ramp at the rear of the vehicle for ease of wheelchair access and safety harnesses to clamp them in.
