Support a care leaver aged 16 - 21 in Coventry Warwickshire and surrounding areas in the Supported Lodgings scheme. Do you live in Coventry Warwickshire or surrounding areas? Do you have a spare room? Barnardo's is looking for people to welcome vulnerable young people into their homes We need supported lodgings providers who can provide appropriate accommodation for young people. This means a bedroom of their own use of shared facilities and opportunities to learn skills that they will need to live independently. This includes budgeting shopping cooking social development skills and being active in their local community. Could you provide opportunities and support a young person to develop these skills? Payments are provided to cover rent support and food costs but the main reward is the challenge of successfully helping a young person to move confidently into independent living. All supported lodgings providers will receive on-going support supervision and training to develop their knowledge and skills to provide a safe supportive place for young people. We want a diverse group of providers from a wide variety of backgrounds experience and circumstances. We respect and value everyone's individuality and what you could offer to a young person.
