Group Mental Wellbeing Sessions – Stratford

Wellbeing for Warwickshire is more than a helpline! It is also a comprehensive service dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being in Stratford upon Avon. This service provides a holistic approach, addressing various aspects of mental health, including stress management, emotional well-being, resilience-building and self-care.

Through workshops, courses, one-on-one support, and community engagement, the service equips individuals with practical tools and strategies to enhance their overall well-being. These services are free of charge and open to all, currently running in Stratford upon Avon and Shipston:

Mondays: Wellbeing drop-in

Held at the Fred Winter Centre every Monday from 10am – 12 midday, just drop in. Come along for a cuppa and chat with like-minded people about life and its challenges, with the help and guidance of one of our friendly team.

Mondays: Green Minds

Our volunteer-led initiative this is a gardening group held at 11.15am every Monday at Lifeways Therapy centre on Albany Road, for two hours. If you’re a gardening enthusiast (or would like to be!), see more about Green Minds here.

Tuesdays: Peer-support group

Led by volunteers at the Fred Winter centre every Tuesday from 10.30 -12.30. Enjoy a laid-back chat with peers about a variety of topics and learn more about other activities going on at the centre in Stratford.

Wednesdays: Men Connect

Nearly 1 in 10 men experience anxiety or depression, but less than half of these men reach out for treatment, and more than four times as many men compared to women die by suicide every year (adaa.org). That’s why we dedicate one group session a week to men. Led by our Wellbeing practitioner Stanley Gordon at the Fred Winter Centre, this group session covers pertinent topics each week, designed to help men help themselves towards better mental health. We recommend contacting us to let us know you’re coming as spaces are limited. Contact us here or call 01789 298615.

Thursdays: Outreach group, The Shipston Warm Hub

Every week between 10am – 12 midday, at the Shipston Scout Hut, New Street, CV36 6EW This drop in session covers popular topics each week, designed to help people help themselves towards better mental health. Some weeks guest speakers like nurses and first aid responders will attend.

Fridays: Wellbeing group

Led by our wellbeing practitioner Stanley Gordon at the Fred Winter Centre every Friday between 10.30 – 12.30, these sessions are person-led and flexible to the group’s needs. Contact us here or call 01789 298615 to book your place.
