Cotswolds Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning CIC provides ground-based equine assisted therapy, learning and wellbeing opportunities for children, young people and adults in Long Marston, near Stratford-upon-Avon.
We offer a calm, supportive environment where people can spend time alongside horses through individually tailored sessions and small-group experiences.
Our work is entirely ground-based — we are not a riding school and no riding takes place. Depending on the individual and the purpose of the session, experiences may include spending time with the herd, grooming, leading, learning about horse behaviour and communication, groundwork and psychologically informed therapeutic or reflective activities.
We work with children and young people with SEND, including autistic and ADHD young people, as well as adults who may be experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, difficult life experiences or who simply benefit from having opportunities for connection, learning and meaningful time around horses.
Our approach is person-centred, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. We believe both people and horses should have choice within the experience, and horse welfare is central to the way we work.
We offer individual Equine Assisted Therapy & Learning sessions, shorter individual horse sessions and small-group wellbeing and introductory experiences.
No previous horse experience is required.
