Westlands is located on the edge of Rugby town centre and provides long-term residential care and short term respite care for people living with dementia as well as older people with long term physical conditions.
Designed as three separate households, the ground floor provides a home for 19 people while the lower ground floor houses 12 people with easy ground-floor access and the top floor is home to 10 people accessed by a lift. Each household has a living area with a lounge, dining area and kitchenette where residents and visitors socialise, and you'll often find our exercise classes and activities happening.
People can make their own snacks and drinks in the kitchenette and staff are always happy to help with preparing hot refreshments. There is also a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures. The central reception cafe provides a space away from the main households for people to have a drink and snack. Outside, our secure gardens have seated areas, lawn and bedding areas with a range of plants and raised beds which our green-fingered residents tend to with the support of our staff and maintenance team.
The home's Lifestyle Coach plans a range of activities including regular outings and day trips, and will always do their best to ensure that you can continue to do the things that you have always done. As part of our activity provision, WCS Care also employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. And our Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. We invite relatives to join our trips so families can make new memories together.
If you're thinking about making Westlands your new home, please get in touch to arrange a tour - like any new home, you'll only know if it's right for you when you walk through the front door.
